Making Waves in a Bumpy Year
Let’s rewind really quick to September 2019…yup that’s the right timeframe! Every year, our marketing team goes what we call “underground” for a week of straight planning for the year ahead! At the end of 2019, our company had BIG GOALS for 2020, as I’m sure many companies and businesses did! January & February started off STRONG, the market was hot, our agents were on fire, all was good in the real estate world! Then… March 2020 happened. (yikes!) All of our big marketing plans, goals, events, training, etc. were immediately put on hold.
Suddenly, our agents had to re-write how they do real estate sales. Everything turned virtual- open houses, closings, house showings, everything! Our agents, who were used to one way of helping people find their forever homes changed their entire business flow overnight. They deserve all of the rounds of applause available. Their goal never changed, being a trusted advisor to their customers and creating a legendary experience was still their top priority, and boy did they deliver!
With all of that being said, we truly had no idea how the pandemic was going to impact the real estate market. But our agents came out on top and made waves in the real estate market this past year. After being faced with the challenge of barely being able to work face to face for the majority of the year, our agents adjusted and continued to push to service their customers to the very best of their ability. We are so proud of our entire team that works extremely hard for their customers every year. Their passion for helping to fulfill the real estate needs of their customers is unsurpassed.
In 2020, our residential department combined listed 2,684 homes, helped 5,333 families find their forever home, and received 3,804 home evaluations by homeowners potentially interested in selling their home! 265 agents also found their forever home with us in 2020. With all of those impressive numbers, our residential division was extremely successful and was able to close $1.35 BILLION in sales volume! If that doesn’t scream “teamwork makes the dream work” …. I don’t know what does.
Our commercial division also had a year to write home about. With 157 units sold, 840 HOA door’s managed, 546,103 square feet of commercial properties managed, our 27 commercial agents were able to close $101,890,834 in sales and lease volume.
Last, but certainly not least, our Asset Management department did an outstanding job as well. Their inventory included 1,491 properties managed, 556 renewal leases & 557 new leases, 272 new listings, 611 professional property evaluations performed, and 184 pets screened (18 were service animals!) These 39 asset managers totaled a listed leasing volume of $327,067,419.
This amazing accomplishment is a result of the hard work and dedication to clients that our sales professionals perform every day. I think 2020 taught us all a lot, it truly is a year that will go down in history. Most importantly, it reminded us that teamwork, integrity, passion, and excellence will take you far in where you want to be, not just in your business but in life too.
