Be The Sunshine | August 2021

Getting involved hands-on in our local communities is something our team LOVES to do! In 2020, we rolled out our first-ever “Be the Sunshine” week and had great success doing so. It is a unique way to get all of our offices and staff involved with a local philanthropy or community program of their choice! We do this twice a year and so far, have had amazing turnouts and participation.

The first week of August, each office picked a non-profit organization or volunteer program, gathered together, and spent one day giving back. Collectively, they were able to volunteer at all of the below in just one week!

Friends of Strays Animal Shelter (St. Petersburg Office)

Clean Up at Anderson Park (Home Office)

While volunteering and getting involved in the community is one of our favorite things to do, this event serves as more than that. It is also a great team-building and fun activity for each office to better get to know one another. Teamwork is one of our core values and we have found that getting our agents and staff members together to do something they can choose and are passionate about is a great way to strengthen their relationships. It’s a fun way for our agents to bond with each other and their staff outside of everyday office life, while also giving back their time to the community!

We are so proud to have a team full of generous hearts and giving souls! Thank you to everyone who participated in our Be The Sunshine week. Our goal for the future is to continue getting our agents involved and inspired. After one week in February and one week in August, just in the year 2021, our team has a total of 156 people volunteer their time and over 549 hours of service. Although there is always room to grow, we are beyond proud!

We are so grateful to have such passionate people on our team who not only always step up when donations are needed but lend their hand in service, it truly means so much. It is so exciting to see our very own staff and agents making a difference in the communities that we live, work, and play in! In a world that is sometimes gloomy, let’s Be the Sunshine.
