Sharan Backus has dedicated 26 years to her career in the relocation industry. She prides herself on having a deep understanding of how each facet of this industry is critical to the overall success of the department as a whole. Her unwavering commitment to service is made evident in her professionalism while servicing corporate clients and their employees, as well third-party relocation companies and corporate relocation Real Estate specialists.

She is committed to offering a full menu of programs specifically designed to provide corporations the flexibility to, not only, customize their relocation but also their benefits options for their local and relocation employees. There are many moving parts to a relocation and Sharan is extremely efficient managing the process bringing it all together ensuring a smooth transition for the relocation of a transferee and the corporate client.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Sharan holds memberships with HR Tampa, Suncoast HR, Sarasota HR and West Central Florida Healthcare HR with great admiration for the professionals in the Human Resource industry. This sentiment is made clear in her actions, as she supports the Society of Cruelty for the Prevention of Animals as well as The Metropolitan Ministries. Her extensive respect for her community is garnered from a life lived in the Sunshine State. Sharan is a Florida native who resides here with her rescue Dachshund Coco and loves being able to spend her time with her daughter as well as her grandchildren.

Sharan holds her Florida Real Estate License in addition to her CRP™ as of 2009 and aims to uphold the same standards expected and seen of her throughout her rich career. So, it was only natural that Sharan joins the acclaimed BHHS Florida Properties Group Relocation Division family, as their Vice President of Corporate Relocation and Moving Services.

Sheri’s career background includes more than 15 years as an award-winning account executive in the pharmaceutical and medical sales industry.  During that time, she was responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and management of more than 100 new accounts as well as training new representatives and assisting with business plans.   Most recently Shaw managed new business development in the hospice industry where she developed and maintained pivotal relationships with hospitals, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, accountable care organizations, and physicians’ offices. She has worked extensively throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Polk, Manatee, and Sarasota counties. 

Originally from East Lansing, Michigan, Shaw earned an associate’s degree in business and marketing from Michigan State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Tampa.  She is actively involved in the community with memberships in Working Women of Tampa Bay, We Honor Veterans program, Trinity Oaks Women’s Association, and the Trinity Women’s League.

Melanie McInnis understands what it takes to ensure a smooth relocation, having experienced it personally. She has more than five years of experience in the real estate industry.  Her diverse background with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group includes working in corporate relocation, a sales office and the commercial and marketing divisions. Melanie has assisted numerous corporations with their relocation needs and has successfully handled small scale as well as large group moves for such high-profile clients as Chase, Honeywell and The Solomon Group, to name a few.
